The Filter Editor tab of the Options dialog lets you adjust the parameters affecting the behavior and look of the Filter Editor. The Options dialog is accessible by choosing Tools > Options from the Main Window menu.

Show the Obsolete category on the Components bar

Shows or hides the Obsolete category on the Components bar. This category contains previous versions of all Filter Forge components that have been updated or removed. The obsolete components are retained so that all versions of Filter Forge are backward-compatible.

Enable selection when in Pan mode

When turned on, allows you to select objects (such as components or remappers) in the Filter Editor workspace while in Pan mode (with the Hand cursor). When turned off, objects cannot be selected while the cursor is in the Pan mode. This option is provided for compatibility with older versions of Filter Forge.

Direction of connections

Switches between left-to-right and right-to-left direction of the connection flow. The default direction is left-to-right. This option is provided for compatibility with older versions of Filter Forge.

Workspace grid

Adjusts the opacity of the workspace grid. This option may be useful for the owners of LCD monitors.

Double-clicking filters in the list opens Filter Editor

When turned on, allows you to edit a filter by double-clicking it.
