Filter Forge Librarian Help

Filter Forge Librarian, an addon to Filter Library Backup, is an interactive filter browser that simplifies import of filters into Filter Forge. It allows you to preview filters offline and select specific filters to be installed into Filter Forge. Librarian is a standalone program that is installed separately and doesn't run simultaneously with Filter Forge.

Using Librarian

Librarian shows all the filters in the Filter Library Backup which fall into several main categories, like Building, Organic or Distortions. Using Librarian is pretty straightforward: select a category from the list on the left, select some filters you want loaded into Filter Forge and click the Add to Tray button. When you're done selecting filters, click Send to Filter Forge, close Librarian and run Filter Forge: the filters you've sent to Filter Forge will show up in the filter manager on the left.

Filtering and Sorting

The View menu and the corresponding dropdown buttons in the main window allow you to sort the filter list by different criteria and to show or hide filters that have been already loaded into Filter Forge – either from Librarian or from the online filter library.

Compatibility Notes

Both Filter Library Backup and Librarian are linked to a specific Filter Forge version, for example, Filter Forge 5.0 won't accept filters from Librarian 4.0.

Librarian requires corresponding licenses for Filter Library Backup and Filter Forge. If Librarian fails to find these licenses, it won't start. Please contact the support team to resolve this issue.

“I needed rock textures and instead of the usual day it takes me to make one, I was able to make 20! Again – applause to you all.”
