Frequency

The Frequency component modifies the frequency of the source curve. Unlike the Repeat component which repeats only the visible part of the source curve, Frequency scales the entire source domain including the parts beyond the visible range. This is a curve component, it can be located in the Curve Ops category on the Components Bar.

Frequency: Map Input

Sets the frequency multiplication factor within the range defined by the Minimum and Maximum parameters. Since Frequency is a map input, its value can be controlled separately for different image areas by connecting a map component to this input.

Minimum and Maximum: Numeric Inputs

Minimum and Maximum define the range for the Frequency parameter. For example, if Minimum is set to 10 and Maximum to 25, the Frequency value of 0 will multiply the source frequency by 10, and the Frequency value of 100 will multiply the source frequency by 25. When the Minimum value is greater than the Maximum value, they get reversed – the Minimum parameter defines the Maximum value and vice versa.

Source: Curve Input, Required

Provides the source curve. This is a required input – to make the Frequency component work, this input must be connected.
