Hello everyone! I have thourougly enjoyed FF. It has to be the most fun and useful program Ive ever tried. I now have 4 days left on my trial and no where near enough money to buy yet, so many things always coming up. Anyways, I read on the forums that you can email admin to get an extension. Are they still doing this? I tried using the contact page about 4 days ago, and havnt heard back. I ve submitted 3 textures, and have many more Im tweaking. Soo many ideas, so little time. I just cant bare the thought of being without FF smile:cry: smile:cry: smile:cry: What do you think my chances are of getting an extension?

Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Hmm... I'd advise doing what I did : make a bunch of filters you're proud of and hope people will use them ! I didn't get enough high usage points to earn Filter Forge until way after the trial period ended, though...
Your filters don't seem too bad so far. Try uploading more (good ones) !

And yes, this program is so damn useful and addictive...

Depending on whether you've got enough income, it could be a better idea to buy FF. I made a lot of my filters when I was at uni so I had little income and lots of free time, but these days it's totally the opposite.

I've spent weeks worth of my time on the filters I submitted to the library and most of those were just for fun or to try a new technique, not for any specific project. That makes the free copies you can earn rather expensive!!

My trial is too going out soon.
as far as now I have 3 reward point. should i use them to buy a free copy of 1 edition. cause i fear what if when new versions are there.
Or should i wait to submit more filters (by trial versions installed time by time on different PCs) to generate popularity so that one day I reach 5 reward points and gain fearless access to all editions in future.
what u people suggest

Uglyboys, I asked that same question when my trial ran out (whether to wait until 5 points or cash in at 3). The answer I received was that the 5 points for lifetime upgrades doesn't actually get you a license; you still have to buy the current version at full price. You can either pay now and get free lifetime upgrades, get a license for free and pay the upgrades later, or get for free, sumbit new filters, and hope for 5 more reward points (I chose this).

Also, like Orteil said, High Usages usually don't show up until several months after the filter is submitted. Some have gone HU over a year later.
