Hi folks.
I'm trialing FF3 and experimenting with community made filters. So far I am very impressed even though I am only seeing the tip of the iceberg I know. I've chosen a filter and an image from it and selected "Seamless Tiling" and am using the "Size, pixels" slider to that the image remains discrete. However when I save the image it always saves at the default size 600x600 not the new size I have selected 507.99x507.99 Is this because I am using the trial version or because I have failed to do something in the program itself? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you |

I am thinking, from reading about it, that it may have something to do with having "fixed size" turned on - though I don't know how to change this.

No, it is not because is trial, the trial is FULLY functional and nothing is left out.
Sorry I do not have time now but can help with this possible links http://filterforge.com/forum/read.php?FID=5&TID=3752 http://filterforge.com/forum/read.php?FID=5&TID=7312 http://filterforge.com/forum/read.php?FID=10&TID=5495 http://filterforge.com/forum/read.php?FID=5&TID=7429 http://filterforge.com/forum/read.php?FID=9&TID=8009 Be aware that the saved image is NOT saved as a seamless texture (I mean is NOT tiled as you see it in the preview) , for this you must join this in tiles in photoshop, or ALSO with some simple tiling filters available in FF How to get 3000 x 3000 render results although this is for standalone, in Photoshop plugin the size is the size of the source image or layer |

The size slider affects the filter Output, makes a pattern smaller for example, but not the image size.
To change the image size go to "File" > "New Image...". there you can set the size and the background color, you can also make it transparent by setting alpha to zero. |

If you're considering buying FF, I would suggest preordering version 4.0.
It will let you use all current filters, and you'll also be able to use all the filters that will have grouping and instancing. ![]() |

I think is time that I make a little tutorial about this topic, as this is something tha myself have been wondering WHEN AND HOW you can resize the image depending on the filter, the source image or if it is used from Photoshop or as standalone.
Is not that I do not know it, is that I do not remember exactly when and how can be done each one, and think that it would be useful to someones too. |
