Hi, I am a Mac user. using FilterForge with UI.
Is it possible to export an image from FilterForge each time a parameter changes? Changing a parameter → Using the previously executed format, settings, path, and file name to output an image with the new parameter. I have looked through the documentation, scripts, and Lua functions, but I couldn’t determine whether this functionality exists. I would appreciate any information from pioneers regarding the presence of this functionality or how to achieve it with map scripts, etc. GitHub: sassembla |

sassembla, welcome to the forums!
It is possible in Filter Forge Studio Edition, without scripts. In Filter Forge terminology this is called "animation". You also need to have the basic understanding of how filters are constructed. Let's assume you take this filter and want to animate the number of bricks, so that the first image has a few bricks in a row, the next one has more bricks, the next one even more, and so on – 5 images in total. The number of bricks in this particular filter is controlled by the Brick Repeat parameter. Open the filter in Filter Editor, find the Brick Repeat control and replace it by a Current Frame control. You also need to define the number of frames – 5 in your case – by adding a Frame Count component and setting its value to 5. Save your changes to the filter, close Filter Editor and click File > Render Animation on the main program menu. Set the output to Image Sequence, since you want images and not a video file. HTH |

GMM, thank you for your fast response.
I understand your explanation about the animation feature. However, what I need is the following functionality: 1. When a filter parameter is changed 2. An image reflecting that change is automatically output as a file. If a file with the same name already exists, it is overwritten with the same file name. In other words, instead of manually overwriting each time, I need a feature that automatically outputs and overwrites the image when I changed a parameter. The benefit of this is that even software not integrated with FilterForge can use the images created in FilterForge in real-time. It would be very helpful not to have to repeatedly interact with the output dialog buttons. Thank you in advance for your assistance. GitHub: sassembla |

This is not possible in Filter Forge but i believe it's not very difficult to set up with a third-party tool. For example, a script that monitors a specific folder, and when a new image file (generated by FF) shows up in this folder, the script automatically renames it to MYIMAGE.JPG or whatever. |

Thank you, I was able to understand it clearly!
1. It is not possible to automatically overwrite with the same file name without showing a dialog when changing parameters in FF. 2. It is better to handle the output files with different names separately. I appreciate it. GitHub: sassembla |
