It appears that the Bomber+ component has issues with aspect. Try this filter with any non-square image. You should get a blocky version of the original image. This is on Mac OSX 10.10.5 with FF 5.006.
There is one Lookup from a Center X/Y, setting it to different XY anchors (Default, Max, Image Bounds) does different things, but none appear correct with this filter if you use a non-square image as input. Or is there something special I need to do to make this work? Bomber+ aspect test.ffxml Math meets art meets psychedelia. |

That thread shows the same issue. It's probably just a matter of removing that warning sign given it's really confusing or do something with the particle adapter. |

Ok, so this works without the particle adapter with the Offset anchor set to Max Size. Just tried it. However, can you submit the filter with this warning? I don't think so.
UPDATE: ok, so the issue is really with the Particle Adapter, which turns everything 1:1 aspect and tiles. It is not XY anchor aware. I don't think it ever has been. So to force it's use in this way with the bomber+ is highly unfortunate. I won't be able to release my current filter if this is the case. It has to work with non-square images. I'm looking for a workaround. Math meets art meets psychedelia. |

Unless someone can show me how to use a non-square image with the bomber+ with the particle adapter... here is another test script that illustrates the problem, just use a non-square image as the input. The Color control is the "brush" shape. Unless this is the intended behavior?!

+1 on this. It may be by design, but the only way to get Impressionist Curve to work with non-square images is by removing the Particle Adapter. It also appears that other filters that don't need the particle adapter such as Local Vortecies by Indigo Ray also have issues with non-square images.
If this is already being worked on, pardon my "addition". Math meets art meets psychedelia. |
