Mike, this filter won't run in the release version of Filter Forge because it no longer permits calling set_sample_map() from outside get_sample(). Could you please update the filter using the 2.008 version.

GMM: That's a shame, sure thing.
I also replaced the dodgy perlin-noise based dither with a Bayer ordered dither. Thanks guys! design23, I don't know Hercules well but I had some ancient Microbee computers at primary school and they had a cool orange and black setup. I've put in a green/black and orange/black preset now ![]() |

What are you doing before the crash, sferia? It works fine for me in the latest FF.

So aside from FF's buggyness with LUA scripting. This script is so wonderful I ended up spending close to an hour just tinkering around with the settings.
The results? Well, after generating a couple images using my own filter, I then applied the filter here and got a ticket... TO THE MOON!!!! by the way you can also view the image here: http://fav.me/d45zc1i Thanks for this wonderful filter. I'm probably going to use it in various situations. ![]() |

![]() Well, I used it again. I've been producing an animated piece called The Door to Tomorrow, and there are some sequences where the characters are playing a game. I thought it'd be nice to use the filter to get the effect. A couple other filters I used were: Aged Wooden Floor by Totte and Simple Stone by Jitspoe. There are several custom filters I made for the windows, light bulbs, and stalactites. All was composed and lit in photoshop for the atmospheric effect. They were all filtered through I Dream in EGA and then yeaup... just went crazy with it. I don't necessarily follow the pixel-art look, but the point was to generate something unique and fun to view since these images only appear for less than 20 seconds in the film. It's still in development, and I just wanted to give people a quick glimpse at what can be done with this filter. |
