thanks, ahimsa smile:) yes, i'm quite pleased with this one also.

steve, it's probably a result of the compression to post here. i changed nothing since i posted those example images. or maybe it's that the library turns on seamless. i notice here that some of those presets dont look like they do on my copy smile:) and thanks smile:) and no, it's never you smile;)

What I am really liking is how the noise doesn't just sit on top, but actually looks like it goes inside the rock on #7. Remember I made a metal one months ago with corrosion, but the corrosion floats on top. I have tried to get rid of that problem, but haven't been successful. I need to know how you did it. smile:)

ahimsa, see dilla's thread in the filter creation forum, the 'noise lab' thread. lots of good tips in there on noise.

Just saw what your lighting section looks like. Mine is different and very limited compared to yours. Guess I need to get those remaining HUs.

I have the pro version smile:(

The last post from me was about the lighting section in your version. You have that gradient thing and more than what is in mine. Did you add those or are they the result of earning enough HUs to get the lifetime upgrades?

ahimsa, yes, i made those extra lighting environments you see in that screenshot. just stuff i've imported on my own. i make a new one every so often. so, no, it doesnt have anything to do with a lifetime version or anything like that. anyone can make their own.

I finally found info on that and see that we can do that, but we can't submit any filters made with our own imported lighting stuff.

Definately useful though for personal use. Maybe the next version will have more lighting options. smile:)

yup, very useful. take some of the gradients in psp and make a 200 x 200 image. set it to about 100 ppi (pixels per inch) and run it through the importer in FF. can make some pretty cool lighting environments that way.

But we can't share them in our uploaded filter we use them in?

Thanks, I'll try that. I can always use the filters I make that way for my own use or sharing with any of you here that will install the gradients.

No, the people using your filter would need that lighting preset too. Maybe someday we will get to add lighting presets to a library here.

You can host them yourself for free at 4shared.com and then give us the links here. You get one gig of space there for free and files can be up to 50m mb each.

thanks, ahimsa, but i dont really want to use places like 'u send it' and '4shared'. i'd like a more permanent, visible location.

I don't have a website like that. The one Hans is making me can only hold files that are under 1.5 mb each.
