I would recommend you fix the typo in the title — it will be next to impossible to find this filter in the library.

Nice. Where was this when I was making GasGiantGen?

I recently updated this filter. See the description/update notes for what changed.

Here's one way I'm using this filter, as well as another library filter of mine:

I have a small problem with non-squared images.

Hummm... So.... it can make seamless images, but it gets in trouble if the image is not squared, no matter if I choose seamless or not.
Changing the If settings to A=B, it works with non-squared pictures, but seamless doesn't work anymore.

Ramlyn, thanks for testing the filter. I am already aware:
Quote
Filter description:
...Now with Seamless Tiling! But keep the image square. ...

At first glance, this may look easy to fix. However, I already had to do some complicated stuff in order to get seamless tiling at all. The previous version of this filter did NOT have seamless tiling. The Bomber+, introduced in FF5, made it possible.

See the annotations in the filter editor:
"All between Center X/Y and the assemble RGB is to allow for seamless tiling."

If I find a solution, I'll update the filter. smile:)

This is not exactly the same as the problems found in the following threads, but read these about Bomber+ and the Particle Adapter. It is my opinion that this is related to the known issues with Bomber+ and non-square images.

Several links:
[Suggestion] Particle Cropping Warning is unnecessary for Bomber+
[bug] bomber+ has image aspect issues (Staff: By design)

I would post this as a bug. Very annoying and I don't think there is a workaround for your filter. The first clue that something is wrong is when you change the X/Y anchor in the final Rotate in your filter. If you put it on Image Bounds, it "mangles" the results.

Thanks Indigo Ray and Rick Duim. smile;)

---------

For Indigo Ray :
I saw the "Now with Seamless Tiling! But keep the image square.", but I thought it was about the seamless option only.
Anyway no problem. smile:)

---------

For Rick Duim :
Yes, I saw it too. When I change to Image Bounds, the swirls become messed.
It may be something not ok in the Bomber+
I noticed that also with other components, when we change the XY Anchor, the result is not exactly what we would expect ( or maybe not the best option ).

In general FF seems to work better with squared images.

Few things:

-You're right Ramlyn. Poor phrasing by me.

-I can add a bypass checkbox so that it works for any dimensions when seamless tiling is off. I don't think I can have the filter do it automatically.

-In FF, seamless tiling only works with integer aspect ratios. For example, a 300x600 image has a ratio of 2. This is more accurate than saying "square". A yellow warning box should pop up otherwise.

-I almost have it seamlessly tiling with other integer aspect ratios besides 1 (square). Almost.

-I don't think there is any bug here. But I feel like there could be a simpler solution, like an XY Anchor for the Bomber+ (which would apply to some of the slave components).
