For far too long images have been chaotic and allowed your eyes to wander all over them however they wished. No more! You now have very clear instructions on where to look and in what order to appreciate it.This filter demonstrates how to get the local direction of an image. Treating the image as a height map, it converts steepness or gradient to an angle pointing either towards/away from the nearest heighest point or clockwise/anticlockwise around the heighest points.
