Description
A color range picker snippet. Color Emphasis increases the "weighting" on the color channels (a and b of Lab color) over lightiness when picking the colors that Match Color. Color Threshold determines the size of the color range. Smaller values return a large color range, higher values return a small color range. Median Matching increases the picking area by removing stray pixels.These values work best for color range picking. The presets also show use of these values. They are: Color Threshold 50-80 (70 as default), 50 returns more colors, 80 less colors. Color Emphasis, above 60, 80 is the default. Setting this to 0 favors Brightness over Color. Median Matching - 30 is the default. 100 increases the area picked, sometimes too much.Feathering - 0-15, 5 is the default. DISCLAIMER: Color range pickers by their nature are only an approximation of human color perception. This filter may not produce the desired results, especially in photographs. NO GUARENTEES!
