Filter Forge 15.0 Released, Adds Filter Performance Ranking, Video Player, Filter Editor Improvements, and More

Tallinn, Estonia, December 08, 2025 — Filter Forge today announced the commercial release of Filter Forge 15.0, a desktop application for Windows and macOS that allows digital artists to download thousands of ready-to-use effects and textures and create their own ones in a visual editor. This release introduces performance ranking for all library filters, a new parabola component, adds new preview images, and a few other improvements for filter authors.

Filter Forge is a powerful plugin for Adobe Photoshop, Affinity and compatible graphic editors, as well as a standalone application for Windows and macOS. There are three key features that make Filter Forge stand out among similar tools:

Over 6700 ready-to-use photo effects that make Filter Forge instantly useful for any graphic artist. For filter creators, Filter Forge 15 adds a number of improvements: the new Power component generates parabola curves with mapped power values, while the new design mode in Filter Editor helps filter authors arrange vast component trees. This mode is enabled by pressing Ctrl/Cmd+m, and all outgoing and incoming connections for the currently selected components become highlighted.
