Alexandria, VA, May 11, 2016 – Filter Forge, Inc. today released the first beta of Filter Forge 6.0, a popular Photoshop plugin that allows users to create their own filters. The beta adds long-awaited full support for 64-bit environments, improving rendering speed and stability.
The beta testing will be conducted in several stages, with new features added at every stage. The key addition of the first beta stage is the 64-bit version for both Windows and Mac OSX. Filter Forge is now capable to utilize all available memory, eliminating memory errors and improving performance on large images. The beta testing is open for anyone for 30 days. All registered users of Filter Forge 5 can request a free beta key to use the beta version until Filter Forge 6.0 becomes commercially available.
Users who find and report bugs will be rewarded with free copies of Filter Forge, which will be granted after Filter Forge 6.0 becomes commercially available. The commercial version is planned for release by the end of the year.
