Filter Forge Update 1.020 – Filter Library Updated, Bugs Fixed

Alexandria, VA, USA (March 30, 2010) – Filter Forge, Inc. today released the update 1.020 to Filter Forge, a Photoshop plugin that allows users to create their own filters. The current update adds compatibility with the new filter library that now supports filters made in Filter Forge 2.0 Beta, and fixes several bugs.

How to update: To download and install the update 1.020, select Tools > Updates from the Filter Forge main menu. The update preserves all downloaded and user-created filters, as well as user settings and the license key. Users who do not want to use the built-in update feature can download and install the update manually from http://www.filterforge.com/download/

List of Updates, Additions and Fixes

Platform-independent:

  • Filter library updated to support filters and filter updates created in Filter Forge 2.0 Beta.
  • Update file names now display spaces correctly.
  • Filter Editor no longer crashes when filter type is switched from surface to simple.
  • Fixed an error with mouse pointer getting stuck.
  • Fixed a bug that caused all available filter updates to show instead of the latest one.

Mac OS X specific:

  • Fixed a bug that prevented several Filter Forge freepacks from functioning alongside each other.
  • Filter Forge now handles non-standard keyboad keys correctly.
