The second stage of the Filter Forge 2.0 beta is focused on photorealistic rendering. The new beta adds ambient occlusion, a shadowing technique that dramatically improves the level of realism, point and area lights that give artists greater flexibility in setting up texture lighting, and several user interface improvements to make the new features easier to use.
