Filter Forge 4.0, Adobe Photoshop Elements 12, Daz Studio 4.8 Iray Render
Filters were applied separately to the foreground, which is a 3-D render, and the background, which is a stock photo. This is an example of how Filter Forge can turn a low quality render, which does not coordinate well with the background image, into a cohesive piece of artwork. The original render was washed out- I used the Vibrance filter to enhance the color, but it still lacked a sense of which direction the light was coming from. Since the lighting was poor, I decided to make that "mistake" become "intentional" by going for an ethereal Northern Lights-like, solar flare quality... as if the Northern Lights had touched not just the sky, but the mountain, the lake, and even the model's skin! This was achieved through several layers of StevieJ's UltraElectroLite at different settings. I had won Filter Forge Basic in a contest sponsored by Fantasy Attic the month before, and used it here to enter the next month's contest. Thank you for your generosity, Filter Forge!
