I enjoy playing with John James Audubon’s bird engravings. Their crisp lines carry through well in this crystal rendering. I started with my original, an embellishment of Audubon’s violet green swallows, by separating the birds from the background in Photoshop. I filled the background with a gradient and ran it and the birds through the FF Crystal filter as two separate selections. The background was then softened with FF Allure. I brought back some of the original image’s color with a layer blend.
