Filter Forge, 3ds Max, Arion Render, Photoshop CS2
I created the Surreal Fabricator filter because I wanted to build on procedural textile pattern creation by adding more color. My 6-yr-old son asked if he could try to make a pattern and he came up with the one that I've shown on the accent pillow. I thought it would make a nice pair of pajamas, but since that's out of my area, I went for bedding instead.
I've used 5 of the presets that come with the filter. For the headboard and walls, I simply used the Hide Motif option and output a plain woven texture map. The 3d scene was created in 3ds Max, and all of the soft bedding is made from Cloth simulations. I rendered the scene with Arion Render and did a small amount of post work in Photoshop.
