  • 64 bit
Author: meyendlesss. I really want 64bit support. Since I built this new system the lack of 64bit software has been dissapointing. I've got 6GB of RAM too (for now), Kraellin... and an i7 CPU running it all. My system can run 64bit... my OS is 64bit... I want 64bit software.

  • 64bit support for FF2?
Author: meyendlesss. I'd really like to see that happen. I'm on Vista 64bit right now... moving to Windows7 64bit soon. It would be nice to have more 64bit software.

  • NEED to KNOW ..about FF 2. FF staff?
Author: Chris XL. Well i realy need to know.. I was so under the impression that FF was for sure 64bit too.. I told "someone" who got 200 licenses of Pshop "already purchased" and the same amount of plugins "needing to deside on" to switch to 64bit on all systems.. NOW I RUN INTO A 64BIT WALL ... FF is not 64bit....

  • Version 5 64bit?
Author: Skybase. The 64bit extravaganza, the never dying feature request: https://filterforge.com/forum/search.php?q=64bit&FORUM_ID=0 Although in a way, 64bit probably won't make FF any faster than it is.

  • NEED to KNOW ..about FF 2. FF staff?
Author: meyendlesss. You're not the only one wanting 64bit Filter Forge. I have asked, and many others have as well. As of now, FF v2 is NOT a 64bit app. It works fine in a 64bit OS, but I don't know if it works with as a plugin with 64bit software (don't think it does, but I don't have any to test)....

  • Future versions of FF: 64-bit only?
Author: Skybase. I got a 64bit Windows machine I use at the office and the Macs at home are 64bit as well. Aka not a problem.

  • 64bit support for FF2?
Author: meyendlesss. Will there be a 64bit version of FF2?

  • Computer advice needed
Author: meyendlesss. I use FF on Windows7 64bit, and I had it on Vista 64bit before. As Kraellin said, it'll install into the Program Files (x86) folder. Don't know if it'll work with as a plugin with 64bit software though as I only have 32bit versions of PSP and Photoshop (works fine in those)....

  • Filter Forge does not open!
... the CD and tried installing from that, same results. It does not open as a standalone. It appears in the filter list in the 32bit version of PS, but does not open from there either. I have seen the problems with most plugins not being ready for 64bit PS. I can live with that. I usually go to the 64bit only when I am doing something I expect to be really resource intensive. As more plugins become 64bit capable I will use the 64bit more. I think there may be something in Vista that is preventing ...

  • Renderer Agnostic capabilities. Possible for FF ?
... favorite renderer. That would be tremendously helpful for me if you (The FF team) could pull that off. I keep running into walls with your software despite my overpowered hardware and really could use GPU rendering capabilities. I know you like to claim 64bit and GPU wouldn't benefit FF, but that's simply and provably not true. If you were also unwilling to remove/modify your custom memory throttle then I suppose it would be true but that wouldn't make sense as it was only there because of a lack of ...

  • NEED to KNOW ..about FF 2. FF staff?
Author: Chris XL. I was under the impression that FF was already 64bit compatible.. Its not and thats gonna cost me .. :( So i might save the day IF and i NEED to know if .. Filter Forge version 2 is 64bit..... Every body is transfering to Photoshop 64 ..so i would hate to see FF fall behind as it is now.. ...

  • 64bit support for FF2?
Author: meyendlesss. I just built a new budget AMD system for my girlfriend with an Athlon II X4 quad-core CPU and 4GB of DDR3 RAM... and... 64bit OS. Cost me ~$500. Anyone building a system now has no reason not to go with 64bit.

  • Failure to launch FF5 plugin from PSP 2018
Author: IVSMA. Upgraded to PSP 2018 from X9. FF5 worked fine in X9 32bit & 64bit. Now it works fine in 2018 32bit but not 64bit. When going to launch from (PSP 2018 64bit) effects/plugin menu FF5 does not launch but PSP stays open and usable; all I get is the following error messages... Message 01: The handle 00FDAE20 is ...

  • DIE by meyendlesss
Author: ronviers. "meyendlesss wrote: I'm using Vista 64bit ... There is a 64bit version of blender," Sounds like you're putting together an excellent system. That's not going to leave you any excuses. "meyendlesss wrote: GTX260" I think that is what I would get too.

  • Filter Forge 6 Beta Stage 1
Author: Grimbly. Wanted to chime in again and see if there's a way for the 64bit client to pre-allocate my ram more aggressively. I have a dual CPU board with 64GB total ram and have it set to allow 90% usage. I'm able to watch it slowly crawl up so far to 7GB so that's nice, but it seems as though it may be spending unnecessary ...

  • Filter Forge supporting 64bit OS
Author: Treefire. Just wondering if FF will support a 64 bit operating system? I have Windows XP 64bit on its way, so I will find out in time anyways, but I'm just wondering if i can upgrade all of my computers to 64 bit? Thanks for the help :)

  • Optimizations, 64bit native, CUDA support
... port/upgrade to better hardware support, essentially future proofing to some degree, doesn't seem that bad really. It is potentially a set back fr om other things but at the same time it's a nice step forward as well. Besides, if they do upgrade to 64bit and especially if they add GPU capabilities we can make even more complex filters than we already have without having to worry about crazy render times. The render time is the deciding factor that limits the level of complexity that a filter can ...

  • Optimizations, 64bit native, CUDA support
... perfectly fine with it using more of the hardware in exchange for improved speed. Dual 16 core AMD Opteron 6376's 64GB ram Nvidia Quadro K5000 IoFX 420GB PCIE-SSD (where Filter Forge is installed) OCZ Deneva R 2 400GB SSD (where Win 7 Ult 64bit is installed) I would very much like to see FF become a 64bit native application. I understand that this has already been deemed an unnecessary thing but I disagree. It would allow for much less HD swap and improve overall speed. If that is ...
