  • Feature request: use user presets in command-line renderer
... I'm curious what the purpose of that file is: does the GUI use it to load user presets into the available presets slot? - Suppose the original filter came with 9 presets, and the user preset you added was a new, 10th one. If you create a command line render batch that uses preset 10 and run it, it fails to render anything, I assume because it's not locating "preset 10" (as you would think it would be from the Filter Forge user interface). A workaround for this is to edit the filter and change ...

  • Render All Tabs As An Animation Cheat?
... issues make it very difficult. I am stuck on Windows and saw the "batch gui thingy" is not available anymore except for mac. I make simple animations and most can be done in 36 frames (usually 10 degrees of arc in a circle per frame). Rendering all, and naming each, gets tedious. I know batch processing or a timeline with keyframes is not likely to happen, but if there were a way to set up each frame in it's own tab within Filter Forge, then tell it to "render all tabs & save images" that would be a huge step toward making ...

  • Opening multiple instances of Filterforge
Author: onyXMaster. As jffe correctly mentioned, there's no next to no reason to run multiple rendering copies of FF -- if it would be possible, the total rendering time will be larger than a sequential rendering. I agree that batch rendering would be a good addition to FF. Currently, the only "batch rendering" support you can get is Actions support in Photoshop, but that's very limited (you still need to apply complete filter at least once and then you're limited to applying ...

... motion of one of them turning. I then converted the x- and y-coordinates of the tracked coordinates to greyscale values and rendered them at the bottom of the footage (at 16 bit color depth). I output this as a image sequence. In Filter Forge I modified ... ... Flare filter I had made to pick the x and y coordinates from the bottom of the image wh ere I had those two grey values. I then batch processed the image sequence through FF to add the animated lens flare, which now followed the tracked coordinates. Composed ...

  • Batch GUI Tool for Windows
... program starts up fine, but when trying to 'execute batch' or 'testdrive' it, it opens the CMD window, but does nothing. The output folder opens up but is empty. I tried different outputs folders, settings etc, but it doesn't seems that it wants to render a file. However there is a batch.xml file made in the temp folder. Do you know what could be the problem here? Thanks a lot in advance.

  • New PC for Filterforge
Author: paulcopeland. Many thanks SpaceRay. I have been thinking this through a bit and come up with the following further observations. 1. I will use the great batch renderer for FF to render files. Some of the files will be rendering overnight. 2. I will use the great animation package Anime Studio Pro to batch render overnight. Both files FF will be at size A3, and the Anime animations will be full screen ...

... / image sequences. 2. Convenient saving of multiple images / image sequences. 3. Convenient saving of render maps. If FF wishes to play better within art pipelines, both input from and output to the pipeline need to be streamlined. Keyword: batch render. And yes, I fully agree with Corvus again here: 1. A command-line batch-render is a royal PITA to deal with. There should be a GUI, and it should be inside FF. 2. Yes, batch render should allow for animations, preset A to B to C to ... , ...

  • Any way to animate a batch process of FF?
Author: GMM. "apply variations of settings of a certain filter (say Gaussian Blur) by a given % each time." You can go on and create a filter with 26 presets, then render it with the batch renderer. Presets are XML-based, you can automate that.

  • Will FF could support multi layers ( as photoshop)
... I think that you are using possibly wrong words, in the way that if I understand well what you want, these are NOT layers or multilayers (at least in the Photoshop way of the term) and these are known as STACKED FILTER EFFECTS and is NOT the same as batch rendering. I mean if what you want is to be able to apply one FF filter AND be able to apply a second filter WITHOUT having to render it first, and then perhaps a third one AND then finally hit render to render all three at once (wait a lot only once),...
