  • How To install Filters on FF Beta 6.0
... Crapadilla. Just out of curiosity... what is the reason that "Access to the server is disabled in this Filter Forge version."? Why am I asking? I'd like to try some of the blur-heavy, less optimized filters from the library on the new 64bit version, but do not have FF5 installed on my office machine. Wouldn't it make sense to allow people to download library filters to test how they perform with this beta version?

  • Not given option to add a Photoshop Filter
... why, but upon installation, there is no option (checkbox) to have this load as a PS plugin - only as a standalone program... do I need a specific type of account? I'm only running version 8 at this time. I run a PC, and my PS is up to date and running 64bit. Thank you so much for any help you can provide.

  • Filter Forge 3 will not open
Author: Davids. Yesterday I downloaded Filter Forge 3 Demo and installet in to Windows 7 64bit with Photoshop CS6 Plugin. But Filter Forge 3 will not open ... I uninstall it, and reinstall it again with deactivated internet security / Firewall - without success. (I Run it also as Administrator.) What I observed, it installs the Program ...

  • Good job with v6
Author: Skybase. I say the update is huge. 64bit has been a long dream of most of us and it's definitely improved stability and render speeds. I say 10% to 30% increase but results may vary based on your hardware. It's less crashy for sure (unless you load some kind of old lua file which is an ...

  • Optimizations, 64bit native, CUDA support
... resources are as above average as mine it would be nice to see software that knows how to use it, especially if it's for development or creative design purposes. Having said all that, Adding support for extra ram means code base changes to make it 64bit compatible, which it needs, there isn't any way to argue that it doesn't. I just started rendering a 15k x 15k image and watched it sit there for 15 minutes throwing 65,000+ page faults in memory and only using 0.41%-3.12% ram which is a firm indication ...

  • StudioArtist 5.0 released
... has just put up StudioArtist 5.0. Basically it's a AI-driven, odd-ball painting program that ignores traditional "painting software" paradigms. It can do pretty crazy stuff but also can do regular painting as well. New version includes 64bit build for Mac which is nice. :D If anything I use this program quite often for my own work: http://skybase.xyz/SideTrip I'm thrilled to see this update! https://synthetik.com/

  • Photoshop 2024 plugin
Author: RobertPeinkofer. Hi, I just bought Filter Forge 13 Pro tonight to use as a filter plugin with Photoshop 2024. After I installed FF13 I moved the 64bit icon into the plugin folder of Photoshop. Under the filter tab, FF13 shows up, but I get an error message when I try to use it..."can not recognize Filter Forge 13 command" or something like that. How do I install FF13 so I can use it ...

  • Newbie needs help with 64bit win 7 & win xp 32 bit FF transfer
... is working beautifully (thank goodness!) From what I understand windows 7 home does not run xp programs, but win 7 prof does. I am hoping that when I transfer FF2 over from the old computer in xp mode, then FF2 will not have any problems with the 64bit system because xp mode runs in 32 bit.

Author: SystmDamage. New to this, but thought I would post it (sorry if it is a duplicate). I'm getting an error on close...every time and regardless if it is from CS6 or the stand alone. • applying an FF3 effect to a selection
... 64 bit.8bf file and drop it into the photoshop plugins folder and the 8bf disappeared when I tried that. So I could no longer find that file. So finally after reading your reply I wound up doing a reinstall at which point the installer detected my 64bit photoshop and I just checked the box next to that. It installed fine and did not loose my filters or presets. So I'm good to go now. Thanks Again

  • Filter Download with Trial Version
... have tried it several times, it does not work. After I went to http://www.filterforge.com/filters/7227.html and clicked on the "Open in Filter Forge" button, a pop-up asked me what program I was using. I browsed to the Adobe/Photoshop CS5 64bit folder and clicked on the PS.exe file. I think that the (watercolor) filter should know where its wanted...but, nevertheless, it is NOT showing up! Any other suggestions? Thanks, RennyR

  • Paint HDRtist: How long to render?
... requirements. Probably choked the computer and now it's locked up. Just to give you something to compare it to, I just tested the filter on a 3000x3000 image (limits of FF3 Basic version)on a desktop with C2D 2.9GHz, 8GB RAM, Radeon 4350 GPU and 64bit Vista. Came back to computer after 20 minutes and it was done rendering. I'll test it on my slower computer later today.

  • UAC Virtualization and command line rendering
Author: primitivedesign. I noticed a few things while running command line rendering that I hope someone can clear up for me. The first is that there are 2 separate processes in the Windows Task Manager (Windows 7, 64bit). Both have the same name: FFXCmdRenderer-x86.exe *32 CPU 80-85% Memory 256MB+ FFXCmdRenderer-x86.exe *32 CPU 0% Memory 576K Is this normal? Should there be 2 processes like that? Also, when I right-click on either of them, There is ...
