... change the name of the test filter to something else and as long as this test filter follows the same rules as above then the bug appears.......Sent a bug report as well.....
Here is the FF6 version in case anyone wants to check it....I am using Win7 64bit...
CS6 Crash with Beta 4.002
Author: MS Photo Artist. When I attempt to use Filter Forge Pro Beta 4.002 in the 64bit version of CS6 I get a "CS6 Has Stopped Working"... error message. I restarted my computer but that did not fix the problem.
Beta 4.002 works fine in the 32bit version of CS6.

and when starting and closing filterforge i also get errors.
I tried running it normal and under administrator.

What would you motivate to buy the upgrade to the next version of FF?
Author: Morgantao. I think if you look at the feature wishlist you will see what most people want in the next version.
I would love to see FF go 64bit. That alone would be reason enough for me to upgrade, as it should solve one of the bigest issues with FF today - memory usage limitations.
Freepaks Don't Work
Author: SuzanneW. I installed them on my laptop and they work just fine. But on my desktop the standalones do nothing and from withing Photoshop I get a "module" error.

Author: Skybase. Actaully it's interesting to note that up until recently Sketchup and Zbrush were 32bit applications. Zbrush announced they're going 64bit finally. I guess it's better, but most people probably don't even exceed beyond what the program was already capable as a 32bit app. Either way it's just some nice addition.
Just installled 9 with PS 2020 (latest)
Author: mmegoodman. I just downloaded FF9 and it 1) doesn't launch from PS 2020 (64bit) or 2) it says there is a program error. I read on one of the thread to work under the 32bit but I am not sure how to switch from 64 to 32 bit mode. Looking forward to any solutions you may have. Thank you!

... finding out if it works with their workflows. But seeing all these ads and people talking about it without that kind of intimacy I think leads to misdirection or just bad judgement which can be costly in the industry.

After closing the plugin and opening it back up I did not see the error message again, so I am not sure if it just needed to open once for FF to create ...
Using lots of memory (I think)

- Rendering speed has been reduced by 50% to save your precious CPU cycles!
- 64bit allowed users to use too much RAM, rolled back to 32bit!
haha... But it sounds like you just need a new CPU cooler (or perhaps the cooler needs some cleaning). That's what's making all the noise.
Filter Forge does not open!

I am running Windows 7 64bit, Radeon 4850. Filter Forge used to work fine on my system but now it's dead. I guess it was some kind of update or maybe graphics driver/directx related installation. Will there be any solution to that problem ever?

Windows 10 pro 64bit
FF does not apper in Photoshop filter list PS 5.1 (CS 5.5)
Author: Morgantao. Support team doesn't work weekends, so you should get a reply on monday, probably.
Other than that, Photoshop installs both 64bit and 32bit versions on your computer.
Copy the FF folder to the plugin directory of both Photoshop versions, just to be sure.
Hope this solves your problem. If not, maybe someone else here has more ideas :)
Error on plugin start - unable to use!
... and 3 and cleaned up any references left in the registry and system drive (ie. the ff log files), rebooted and re-installed FF2, and I still get the error. This occurs in standalone and as a plugin.
I am unable to use the product I bought!

Some FF6.0 Impressions and Speed Tests
Author: Indigo Ray. It's been stable for me, so far (like FF5). On my laptop with i5 processor, running Windows 7 (64-bit), I found that:
-Rendering times for FF6 - 32bit are ~identical to FF5
-FF6 - 64bit sees ~11% reduction in rendering times compared to FF5
Not bad! I tested Futurism, Sixties Swirl, and Hipster Background by Kochubey, none of which are "fast" filters. I made sure to disable progressive rendering in all versions.

FF7 plugin crashes while starting up
