Consistent Crashing on Filter Download or Edit
Author: crispalomino. I would have to think which filters. I was using the trial at the time and it has since expired and so I no longer have access to what I had downloaded. I was trying a variety of filters, trying to create new ones. If I can remember, I will return with a list. It was very problematic to run from a filter editing standpoint in general....

- continue working in FF1 by tweaking parameters;
- ask for a free FF2 beta key that will allow you to use the beta after its 30-day trialexpires;
- uninstall the FF2 Beta and work with v1.

Try reinstalling ............ should give you a trial period [ 30 days ] if you have never had it on your machine before, if you've had it on before, the trail will have expired, or try your key again .......... FF staff are probly on a break, but try the contact tab above if you can't get it working :)
Usage of Trial version

I´m working on a school project(a 3D game) on college and I was looking for some textures to use. I find FF and it blowed my mind but the cost is a little bit too high for me.
Anyway I´m wondering if I can use a trial version for this sort of stuff. I mean if I can generate some textures and keep using them after expiration. I didn´t find anyhthing on website but I wanted to be sure because our tutors are very strict about paid stuff and equal opportunities for all of us.

I think that is not that they do not want to answer, is that it is the holidays festive days since christmas so I think that the best thing is to way until next monday 6 or tuesday 7
Also, have your trialexpired and you can´t use the Filter Forge software unless you enter the key?

I always used trial versions, when possible, cause I'm not an artist, just an amateur photoshopper, and I don't have money to buy a license, especially considering that it needs to be upgraded every time.
In times of trialexpiration, I usually found a help in the freepacks.
I notice that they are no more available.
This is very annoying.
I hoped that the success of this plugin would open the way to some occasions in terms of mini free-versions or something similar....

Author: Borrus. Well, the presets aren't as dark as they were before - you're probably right they could do with some more adjustment. I can't change them anymore though - my trial period has expired. As SpaceRay commented, if you want them lighter still, you could just up the brightness in the lighting settings of the preset. Glad you like it though - thanks. :)

Trial period doesn't last 30 days — FIXED
... for the first time to try FF as a plugin today 2 Jan 2009. Even though I have not used the FF plugin in CS3 before today (I have used FF as a standalone—installed beta on 31 Dec 08) I immediately got a dialog box stating that "The 30-day trial period has expired." There was then the link "Click here to buy Filter Forge" and two buttons one to "Enter License Key" and the "Close" button. I had to click the Close button and could not use FF as a plugin.

Author: Darth Axel 007. Today, (checks if it's midnight here) again, today, is my last day before my trialexpires. Sad, not even one 'high usage'. I loved FF because of easy it was to use and how flexible it was to create textures. It saved me a huge amount of time creating my textures for games but meh, don't have the cash to purchase it now.

Have you changed the system date since FF installation?
You can request a temporary 30-day key from the support team in case you're able to see the 'trial period expired' window again.
Also, please run Task Manager, switch to the Processes tab and make a screenshot of all active processes.

----Well, if they still have none when their trialsexpire, then 3 to each if I have 7. They're both going to get 3+ high usage filters of their own in time, the idea is just not to make them wait a month or three while the numbers get crunched and people use their filters enough.

whatever that means. Photoshop runs undre WINE, so I hoped FF might.
With Win2000 it installs and begins to launch, then shows me a dialog box telling me the trialis expired. It never opened, even the day after the download.
Freepacks
Author: Shari. Every time I try to load them in my plugin folder it says. for instance the metals, that it is too big and t load into the full version. At the moment I do not have the full version. My trialexpired and I am still trying to decide. My computer has frozen twice while trying to work with these freepacks and my computer has never done that before. I am afraid to try anything - so much for all the advertising about how easy to use the freepacks!...

Trying to find out cause one of the sites that I was uploading a few things to for sale only use .zip and my winzip trial has expired and they wont let me pay by paypal because I don't live in America :(. Hate using my card online.
Tried a test with 7zip but didn't seem to work, unless I did something wrong, which is highly possible.
getting version 9 perm
... 2 lifetime awards from filters. i only want one copy of 9 for my own use. i seem to remember emailing someone for my last perm key. what's the procedure for getting the full version with a lifetime key for FF9 and not have it upgrade ff8? my 30 day trial is expired.

I am also interested in learning how to make filters, but I may have to do a reinstall of the 30 day trial after it expires to have enough time to get up to speed. If I can get some filters made for FF - then you have it here in writing that I won't give a hoot how you use them - no strings at all (except for the standard FF licensing).:

Actually, yesterday when I got your email about the expiration of your trial, I looked up the filters database to see if perhaps you have earned yourself a free copy of FF, and I saw that of course you did, long ago, and it's a crying shame we haven't yet given you your free license!
