1) Google Chrome appears to be the problem. After the text appears in Google Chrome, try to do a File / Save to your desktop or download folder. Then double click the downloaded filter (Color Change.ffxml).
2) Try using Internet Explorer as your browser. Go to the forum and click on the Color Change.ffxml from IE. It should either ask you which program to run or save it. Try both.

Author: SpaceRay. I think this thread should be made sticky so any person that is using Internet explorer to download any .ffxml file from the forum, could know that it will NOT be possible, I mean the file prefix will be changed to .xml and so you will need to rename it back to .ffxml to work.

Author: Yuya. Hi mamajane, the presets themselves are saved within the filter's file itself, so what you need to do is send your ffxml file.
To get the exact location of your ffxml file, check out the screenshot I attached.
I right click on the filter, which gives me the menu with "locate file". Sorry for the mild confusion.

Firstly let me define filter.ffxml as the file with the filter definition and config.xml as the file that is passed to the commandline renderer.
I understand that map_type is the switch that changes the map type between (diffuse/bump/spec etc). It is defined in the filter.ffxml ...

It is possible, the ffxml files are platform-independent. Most probably you copied the files in the wrong folder: you need to copy all the content in \Documents and Settings\Your_User_Name\Application Data\Filter ...
