  • GPU rendering?
... and really much slower than most of the modern and new graphics cards and all the GPU optimized software I have tried (not 3D rendering software) work very well, fluid and fast, and do not have any problem to run them in REALTIME and work very smooth and ... ... Photoshop Plugins GPU optimized and enabled hardware accelration, and also Adobe´s Pixel Bender that works very well with my slow GPU and makes everything in realtime, and there is also some other software that are also working with GPU acceleration and ...

  • Titan Panals by Stendec
Author: ronviers. Ouch, just checked, the lead preset takes 0:04:05 the way I have it set. That may be too slow for the render police. It's the ao, I added it last so I didn't notice it took so much time. You could back off on the quality. Fyi, my mods were not tweaked or carefully integrated so there would be a lot of work if you decide to use them. :( Btw, you're more ...

  • Metal Stuff 2 by ahimsa
Author: Presidio. Now with the free Daz... I've read you can export OBJ's... so you need that.. I think. Because as I understand it those files can be used in various 3D rendering programs... although I am still a 3D dummy... LOL Okay going to reboot,, computer slowing down.. then I'm off to get more goodies for you. Revelations is taking the disc in the morning so I won't be able to download tomorrow.. have to get everthing burned tonight.

  • Cliff Lab by David Roberson
Author: David Roberson. My apologies for the late response. It's been a while since I visited the forum. I loaded Cliff Lab a few minutes ago and am waiting to see if it renders for me, and how long it takes. I really don't remember it being this slow. ...okay, it is rendering now. It finished while I looked up my system specs: "System Information ------------------ Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 19044) (19041.vb_release.191206-1406) ROG Strix G713QM_G713QM AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX with Radeon Graphics (16 CPUs),...

  • Comparison between FF2 and FF3 render speed test
Author: Sphinx.. Did you set FF3 multipass setting to legacy (i.e. FF2 "mode")? My tests show that the new multipass rendering slows down things a little. Also try enabling double precision output cache (it may improve performance). Here are the numbers from my quick test (crysta, first preset, 600x600, old dual core, vista): 5:33 (multipass: 4 pass) 5:18 (multipass: off) ...

  • Painted Tiles by Beliria
... filter! I really like the "paint" effects, from stuff that looks like air-brush to paint-the-texture-of-silicon-grout-put-on-with-a-trowel. ;) I have one suggestion, though: as is so often the case with 3-D filters, this can be pretty slow to render. Have you considered reducing the "details" level in your perlin noises? I was able to get the very first one down to 10 and the others to 30 without a huge change to the texture, and it was faster. Just a helpful tip. :D

  • Stretch by Corners by ronviers
Author: ronviers. To this. It would look a lot better if I had a better source image. This is one I found with google. This filter will not only allow you to display your patriotism but it will test it as well – this puppy is slow. This sample has a lot of wind, if you do not want so much flapping that can be turned down and it will render faster. I will try to speed it up before I submit it. :)

  • Paper Crafts by Skybase
... inputs. The only method I can imagine doing is utilizing something like raymaching. There's a script floating around on the FF library called hard shadows I think is the ultimate solution. But at the same time it would probably result in extremely slow renders. So yeah... :( at this point I don't know good methods for shadows.

  • Wooden house gen by dactilardesign
Author: inujima. Nice EP ,Congratulations ! "I want to wanr again: this is really slow to render! If someone has an idea to improve the performance, I would be really pleased to hear." This filter will be dramatically faster by applying proper clipping using Threshold Components. http://www.filterforge.com/wiki/index.php/Filter_Construction:_Clipping ...

  • Image Capacity And Slowing With Filter Complexity
Author: StevieJ. Hi everyone :) I was wondering what the image capacity (size and resolution) is with the filters? As my filters get more complex, rendering is getting much slower on just the 600x600 test image. Are the beta filters without the high res? I'm running XP on a Pentium M.....which cranks everything in Photoshop....so I'm wondering.....since my goal is to apply these filters to some ...

  • Tottes hideout
Author: Miavir. Yes, VERY nice fur Totte, though one source of the slowness might be that you're using about twice as many bombers as you probably need. One of the Particles you use is *always* ... ... remaps to 1 or 1 , which means transparent :D . Please don't think I'm complaining, this is a great filter, but I'd love for the render time to come down 8). 2 hours and 50 on my machine . Sheeesh. But worth it. Another Idea that may let you use less ...

  • CorvusCroax's Junkyard
Author: CorvusCroax. "Skybase wrote: :o I was wondering how long these would take if you render them at crazy resolutions like 9000X6000. " They're not too bad, rendering time - wise, but not great either. Having reflection turned on defnitely slows it down a bit. I'd worry that there wouldn't be enough detail at high res, there isn't much of any 'micro detail' as Kraelin calls it. " Kraellin wrote: and i like those last three, but it's a little hard to judge without having an original ...

  • GPU rendering?
... "using what's already available in the best possible way." Here's a little story: If anybody's interested in 3D, maybe you heard of mental-ray. It's one of the top-notch render engines out there for photo-realistic imagery. The catch is, the render engine often gets called out being "slow" when it's not. If settings are tinkered properly it can run at a ridiculous speed. In fact, if you do even more prep work to the scene you're making, you can get a render done in 5 seconds with all the bounce lighting, shading, and anti-aliasing....

  • Resolution and Upscaler
... Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3070 Ti-OC-Vision 8GB Checkpoints: SD 1.5 *.safetensor (https://civitai.com/models) Hello, As recommended and with the initial resolution of SD 1.5 (512x512), rendering is very fast. When I try in 768 or 1024 (Initial Setup) the rendering is very slow. (Image width and height: Both must be a multiple of 32). I tried to stay at 512 as initial, then enlarge with a function. But it's still long. Will you integrate an initial upscaler function/module ? (like ESRGAN) I don't have any experience in ...

  • Volumetric Explosions by Morgantao
Author: Morgantao. Hmmm... Do you have an idea on how to have all the different frames rendered on the same image? The only way I can think of right now is to duplicate the filter 16 times, once per frame, and that would make it dead slow and morbidly bloated. Why not just use Sjeiti's ffbatch (http://ffbatch.sjeiti.com/) (Read about it here: http://www.filterforge.com/forum/read.php?FID=5&TID=6133 (http://www.filterforge.com/forum/read.php?FID=5&TID=6133)).

  • Pre-render inputs
Author: Kraellin. mike, yes, this was somewhat covered in another thread, at least the part about real time rendering. a preview window i'm not sure, but it would be useful at times, especially when you're using slow components. a much smaller preview window that renders on a toggle basis would be good. and i assume when you mention the polaroid filter you're talking about the polaroid dust and scratch remover filter. i think the trick here would be where would you put it? you'd almost have to swap it in and ...

  • Thanks for NOTHING New Version!
Author: Catherine Murray. Vlad, thanks for your comment -- I should have made it plainer that that's exactly what I meant: background rendering was slowing things down. My point was in the last two sentences of my posting. A brand new computer doesn't seem to have thrown up the problems others have experienced. Therefore, either it's something wrong with people's own computer configurations (such ...

  • Google DeepDream
... it's kinda unrealistic to do poster art (right now) to do this. It's just kinda like a nerd thing. " Interesting to know this, so if the time is in relation with the size, is like it happens in filter forge, so this is then like some of the slow filters on filter forge that is unrealistic to use them for higher resolution, unless you want to wait many hours for the render. "Rick Duim The size is reduced at deepdreamit.com" I have tested this website that offer very simple upload and automatic, but it seems that is also flooded OR they want that you pay 1.99$ for each image made faster :?: ...

  • Filter Forge 8 - serious display issues + more
Author: Yuya. Reporting the slowness as well. Not sure why but compared to FF7 FF8/9 is far slower with rendering. A few of my older filters do run super fast on 7, but in 8 they feel like they're not optimized lol. I don't have numbers nor do I have FF7 anymore so I can't say for sure but it does feel sluggish at this point. Kinda frustrating. ...

  • Spirographic and/or Spiral Dots style ? This would surely be possible
Author: SpaceRay. Thanks very much for trying to do this, it looks good your example "Morgantao Now the bad news, this 600x600px image took just under 2 minutes to render" :?: Why this is so slow when more complex shapes are faster ? Why the dots can be slower than making lines? Perhaps is the way that this must be done and is not as easy as making just lines. I thought that the spirograph lines by uberzev was made by a continous series ...
