  • Question about the If component
Author: Skybase. See, I think I know te answer to it... but I'm worried I'd be wrong. I think I'll leave it up to somebody else for the answer.... In the mean time, is the ffxml file accurate to whatever you were describing? If you check the RGB values in HDR mode, you'll see the problem.

  • Cant download filters
Author: Crapadilla. "DiD wrote: It told me same thing: "Firefox can't find the file at filterforge://open-etc." " Looks like Firefox internally points to a wrong or missing executable for open ffxml file requests. You can set the correct file path and application in Firefox's preferences > applications tab.

  • CorvusCroax's Junkyard
Author: CorvusCroax. Hi Manifold: Nope- don't mind at all. Btw, I posted that filter here : straight line finder filter (http://www.filterforge.com/upload/forum/upload/f71/zz%20straight%20line%20finder%20002.ffxml) I never submitted it b/c I thought it was too non-intuitive and didn't look so hot in the previews.

  • Purchasing v.1 to use Beta 2? Confused...
Author: GMM. "Ellie wrote: I do myself by copying them from one folder to another? " Yes: you'll need to copy the ffxml files between '/Users/UserName/Library/Application Support/Filter Forge 2/System/Library' and '/Users/UserName/Library/Application Support/Filter Forge/System/Library'.

  • Cannot load 'Library_1537-1.ffxml' - the file format is invalid
Author: Iam Nemo. I get this message each time I start FF Pro (even v.1.015). I've looked for this file but cannot find it anywhere under the FF install folder and subfolders. What is it? Where should it be? Where can I get it? Thanks!

  • Bad update. 2-24-21
Author: Rachel Duim. You are welcome :) You can edit your new filters (.ffxml) by changing the minor version in the Information tag using a text editor (Notepad?). Keep a backup. Here's a sample of the tag, you would change minor version from 6 to 5. A hack, but it probably will work but no guarantees.

  • How to Manually Remove Corrupted Fiilter
Author: WordWeaver. Well, I am hoping that I did it right. I just used logic, took a chance, and removed the .ffxml file from the two aforementioned locations, and I deleted the lines which referenced the aforementioned filter from the "CachedInfos.xml file and the LibraryStructure.xml file. Filter Forge is still working, so maybe I did it right.

  • FF 2 crashes immediately upon launch, consistently
... Inujima my FF can at least load without Van Gogh crashing it. He's posted a link on another thread which allows use of the filter on Macs without crashing. http://www.filterforge.com/upload/forum/upload/c57/Van%20Gogh%20Flow%20without%20script.ffxml

  • Crashed Hard
Author: GMM. "gypsyBytes wrote: I didn't have any luck copying the ffxml file and changing major_version to 2, " In FF3, we have also updated the Bomber, Checker, Color, Image, Selection, and Switch components. If you change all references to these components to those of 2.009 components, you should succeed.

  • Lens Blur
Author: uberzev. Here you go... http://uberzev.googlepages.com/LensBlur.ffxml I'm pretty much done with the filter, I just need to work on some presets and decide if I want to include some sample masks. (For now just replace the 'Radius' control with a map input if you want a mask controlled blur)

  • blend mode with multi blend function
Author: uberzev. "Vladimir Golovin wrote: Here's your modified example with a proper blending cascade: [ example3-proper.ffxml ] " That's great Vlad but you've cheated a bit by puting the lightest layer first and so fourth. The point of the true Multiblend is you can have the tones in any order and still get the right result.

  • Nodes from right to left - why?
... build have all the other current updates? " This build is based on the upcoming update, so it will have all the latest features and fixes. It will download filters, but I'm not sure about the upload (the new editor may require changes to the .ffxml format).

  • Is there a non-rotational tiling method for images?
Author: Quasimondo. I just have updated it - it now supports also smaller tiles (which works simply by feeding the result again into the tiling offset) http://incubator.quasimondo.com/filterforge/Simple%20Tiling.ffxml I have submitted this as a snippet twice - Vladimir please ignore or reject the first tiling submission then.

  • Only 20 presets per filter allowed?
Author: SpaceRay. I keep asking to someone fr om FF to know if FF 4.0 will still have 20 preset limit and why "Skybase My bet at that reason: Makes ffxml files larger and harder to handle. " Makes FFXML larger having more presets, as far as I know the preset are ONLY some XML lines and the filter that is going to be submitted does not store any external image, and none of the built-in images ...

  • scaling on one axis
Author: JenniferK. "I've provided a axis independent scaling routine written in FF7. Center X & Y are where the center of the image is placed. Squash is a pain to work with IMHO. I'll explain it more if needed. Axis Independent Scaling.ffxml Math meets art meets psychedelia." Cool, thanks. I agree about squashing. It seems strangely counterintuitive.

  • How to switch Anti-Aliasing to "Off" permanently ?
Author: xirja. It is a setting stored for every preset. So you can double click the preset, change the antialiasing at the top, and then use the menu drop down to the right to "upd ate prese t". :hammer: If you can batch process text (ffxml), then search for "anitaliasing=" and replace values within quotes.

  • Suggest a new filter.
Author: xirja. Yeah I was going to recommend that one too, but with the overlapping it's going to be rough going in FF, as the folds are more suited to a 3d app, but 3d with z perlin.ffxml may help too: https://www.filterforge.com/forum/read.php?FID=14&TID=6405&MID=122638

  • Am I dreaming?
Author: GMM. Please try the following: - go to c:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\Filter Forge 5\System\Library\; - remove (or rename) any .ffxml file; - go to the online library (https://filterforge.com/filters/) and download a new filter, that you didn't have before. Will it fix the local library structure?

  • FWFF (or foolin' with Filter Forge)
Author: Burt. Thank you. I am having fun with FF. It seems everything you try generates some unexpected bit that gives a new idea so I copy yhrm to a new ffxml file and recently had to copy hem to a different folder as the 'My Filter' list was a little out of control. :)
