I had just finised upgrading this filter bigtime, was out of the editor just adjusting some presets then it crashed! and now it won't load the filter!! ... it says "the file format is invalid" ... and when I open the ffxml in a texteditor it's just empty!!!!!!!!

Where did you copy it to?
You need to place the .ffxml file into /Users/Your_User_Name/Library/Application Support/Filter Forge 5/My Filters/
and restart Filter Forge.

Fix the Forums

While some things work, ffxml files fail to properly download, doesn't work... various little issues.
Would be nice to see the forums working smoothly again!
BUG - HDR enabled in Script crashes
Author: Sphinx.. Open this filter (http://www.filterforge.com/upload/forum/upload/b9d/Non-overlapping%20Circles.ffxml) (by ThreeDee), select the Script node and enable HDR on all four inputs. BANG.

Just double-click the .ffxml file you saved and FF will open it. Same for the web -- your web browser will offer to open a filter with FF.

FF3.0 Q&A: Multiple Source Images
Author: Ellie. Here's a screenshot of what I'm referring to. The Article Bomber.ffxml filter should appear somewhere in the list of filters in the screenshot. It should be in some category. But it isn't. I searched for it too, both under article and bomber. It does not appear.
What am I not understanding about this?

Simple Gradient
... had a problem in my work, and am wondering what is wrong here. The filter is a simple gradient, but it seems to be assuming something I can't set. What I want, is a simple 3-color vertical gradient. What I'm getting is a repeating gradient.

6 - rename the file extension to .ffxml
An easy way to rename the file is to click on the file and select to EDIT the file and it will open in the notepad or your default software that you have assigned and then you ONLY have to save it again with the same name BUT putting the extension ...
