  • Another FF Batch Renderer on the block (Cross-Platform)
... my fellow Filterfanatics! I'm working on a Batchrenderer for Filter Forge. I know, why another one? Well, first an foremost, because I can't seem to find one for Mac (which I'm mainly using). I plan to change that, so I started to create my own Renderer with following Features: Downloads from Mediafire (http://www.mediafire.com/?il122raskrmqg) (Darwin = Mac) Already available: - Job List Creation - Watchfolder Support (with automatic rendering) Planned: - change Preset values - ...

  • Renderer Agnostic capabilities. Possible for FF ?
... wouldn't make sense as it was only there because of a lack of 64bit capabilities in the first place. Failing that, would it not be possible to just make a separate renderer for FF that's GPU specific or 64bit specific and have some way for us to send batch jobs to either that or the current command renderer? Hell, why not just give all 3 as options and let us decide what we want to make use of based on our needs? Also, is it just me or does anyone else think this would be the perfect opportunity for FF to have a Kickstarter. Basically, just make ...

  • Over processing??????
Author: Chas. Hi All, I just downloaded this and found some wonderful things I really like and want to use, however there is something going on that makes the program standalone or as a plugin, suck up all the processor, rendering takes hours if not days. ( that is if it dont hang.) I am shooting large images, and produce large prints as well, I am running Photoshop CS4, on a windows vista 64, single processor 2.1, with 4 gigs of ram. I can batch edit up to 200 images on this system, run Nik, FX, and many other plugins without a hitch. I would be delighted if it would be able to process even one image at full size with out the hang, minium prints is an 11X17, standard is 24X36. Doesnt matter ...

  • I've been testing Ultraforge beta and what my wish in Ultraforge 1.0
... inconvenient, right? Improving the quality of images using automatic1111 That is difficult and time consuming. Sometimes it may fail. Right now, Ultraforge beta 1.0 can only render 512x512 images with a maximum resolution of no more than 768. can't make batch images render. can't upscale image with add more detail. The advantage now is that it's easier to install. and very faster start than automatic1111. I wish ultraforge 1.0 could upscale while adding more detail. Correct extra fingers, extra limbs, and distorted ...

  • Filter Forge and the notion of a Project
... style. In the end, I just wished that it can process a bunch of images at once in some form or fashion. https://filterforge.com/upload/forum/upload/508/Node_based_GUI.jpg Image above is something that was made by aba a while back with his (her?) batch renderer program. It has the sort of GUI I was imagining. I think this is what Crapadilla's trying to describe but more nuke-like? I'm honestly a bit unsure about the concept overall since the whole scope of a "project" is very focused to ...

  • Filter Forge and the notion of a Project
... would need a new breed of Resource (i.e. read & write) components that actually "remember" their file sources and destinations. Furthermore, one could imagine that this top-level workspace provided animation functionality (i.e. a timeline) and batch render capability. However, FF does not provide many standard compositing app functions like painting, spline-based masking, etc, so it would be a looooooong way to make that Project Editor feature-complete. IMHO, FF would be better served if it opened ...

  • Can be presets controlled and choosen from inside of a filter?
... it would be faster to save than a higher one, but on other components you would most probably need a higher ressult and FF would take much time to remder each preset USE EXTERNAL TOOLS although to avoid spending much time waiting for any slow render of different filter presets, I have just remembered about the awesome and great Batch Gui tool by aba (https://www.filterforge.com/forum/read.php?PAGEN_1=5&FID=5&TID=11476&sphrase_id=3048949#nav_start) wh ere you can render automatically all the preset at a given resolution output And have just discovered that there is also ...

  • The Top 3 Features You'd like to see most!
... personal top 3 feature's I'd like to see most are as follows... 1st Place FF as a compositing-application plug-in, conforming to the emerging OpenFX standard, preferably. Yup, this would totally rock IMHO, and would also take care of all our batch rendering and animation needs in one grand stroke. I'll keep my thumbs pressed! Btw, this takes all the first three spots in my book, so I'm going to continue with... :D 4th Place Bomber components (i.e. particle placement components). Unfathomably ...

  • Optimizations, 64bit native, CUDA support
... like to see CUDA support added so it can fully utilize my $2k graphics card instead of fumbling around consuming 98% of my 32 CPU cores for hours on end which also implies that it's doing that inefficiently anyway. I frequently make use of the batch renderer for it's render speed advantages or at least the assumed advantages and even then on some filters it can take an hour per image. I realize this is partly due to the way the filter is set up and/or the complexity of the filter and likely many ...

  • Optimizations, 64bit native, CUDA support
.... I'm sure if I had let it go on it would have done that for at least another 15 minutes. Adding support for GPU rendering doesn't have to mean a complete change in the code base. It could be done by way of an alternate renderer, sort of like the batch renderer. Just a separate .exe that you can direct it too though the options panel. This way you could swap out how you wish to render images and the primary code base wouldn't have to account for as many user setups and hardware situations. It would ...
