    Author: Sharandra. Retoucherpro, have you checked if it is set to use all available cores? It´s under Options>Rendering. I sometimes set it to use only one core, when I need to do other stuff while it renders. If I forget to set it back, I wonder about it´s slowness next time, until I remember lol :-) And sorry about the slowness of my Glowy filter. I tested it on fotos and a 4096x4096 texture before I submitted it and it worked just fine for me, only slow.

The loading itself is quite fast, it just *looks* slow because of rendering. The interface is always fully interactive -- you are free to click anywhere while it renders your picture.

Low "STROKE Repeat" values can also slow down rendering a bit... How long it takes to render using FF built-in images? I did some tests here using a 1000x2000 image and rendering took nearly 1 minute (I am on a 3 years old PC)

    ... relative to a filter that is VERY SLOW on the same computer. If my computer can only do a ULTRA FAST filter in 10 minutes, then it's still going to take LONGER to use a VERY SLOW filter. On the same computer, a fast filter will always be faster than a slow filter. No matter what the computers specs are. Other than that, yeah, I think Skybase is right, if a user needs some render, the warning will just let him know it's gonna take longer, and he'll still use the filter. Another reason to remove the speed limit on the submition wizard.
