Author: Skybase. You can download and open the ffxml file by hitting right-click > "save-as". Double click on the ffxml file and it should open in FilterForge.
FilterForge basically saves ffxml files so those are what we share here.
I think it's all a good starting point overall....

Not able to download FFXML file

"Internal Error" on start-up renders Filter Forge unuable
Author: GMM. Please go to ~/Library/Application Support/Filter Forge/System/Library and delete some .ffxml files. If the problem continues delete more files until you isolate the corrupt ffxml file.

I only discovered and fixed it when I had to implement the "double click on filter to open FilterForge" feature...
Ctrl + R tells FFCat to take any selected filter, go to its file path and read the whole content of the file ...

Just save them somewhere, open filterforge, press Ctrl+L and drag the downloaded .ffxml files into the folder.
Simple enough- how did you manage to delete all your filters? Worst case scenario they're in your recycle bin. Check there ...
FF3 Internal Error???

I agree much with all of this and is true all and is right BUT I do not agree and think is wrong that you NEED the filter editor to edit and rearrange the presets.

FF helper applications, creating/editing FFXML externally

I would assume based on the various ffbatch and ffcat apps that this is possible. Does anyone have experience in making (or editing) FFXML externally and opening it back in FF successfully? Any known problems ...

If I share an ffxml file and someone else loads it there will be the same obsolete components on their instance as I had to start with but how can that be if the ffxml file has ...

Author: Indigo Ray. The problem is the file extension needs to be .ffxml, not .xml. Right click to save as. Where it says save as type, select all files. Then name the file, and put ".ffxml" at the end of the name.
