  • DLI_FireFlow by Scazzino
Author: Scazzino. Hi Clint, DLI_FireFlow, DLI_WaterFLow and DLI_LavaFlow can all be animated and rendered with the FilterForge batch renderer. The batch renderer is a standalone command line application that's included with FilterForge. On the Mac it's in the FilterForge App folder and it's named FFCmdRenderer. It can basically render a filter over and over while cycling (or randomly ...

... it is nuts that a FF cannot do BATCH SAVE of ALL CHANNELS. " There is a way to batch save all the channels. You need to save each render map as a separate preset (on the Presets tab click the menu triangle and select Add preset). Then use the batch renderer to render all the required presets. I admit this is non-obvious but it can be done.

... a graphical UI for the CMDrenderer. And if I have to choose I prefer that Filter Forge developers spend the time on making and adding things that will allow to have vectors, randomizer locks and loop component and any other thing THAN having this batch render graphical UI. BUT then what I want is TO KNOW how I can use the CMDrenderer in the right way This is why I have made this thread below to ask HOW to use it in a good way and NOT request for a better CMD, just to know how to use it. Please,...

  • Options(Preset for Batch Processing)
... what you mean, and what you are suggesting. Please, could you explain it more? Filter Forge does not have batch processing in the software itself only by using the command line render, so how would be possible to have a "preset" for batch rendering? and I am sorry to say that, FF 4.0 will not have any new batch rendering or processing inside (confirmed by GMM)

This would help much to to copy the inside text or make a screenshot Knowing that there is already shown the time taken for the render inside the DOS windows that it is open when processing the batch, so I could be able to sel ect all the the text and copy it or make a screenshot of that window, BUT the main problem is that this window closes automatically very fast after it finishes all the tasks of the batch, so it is impossible to make a ...

  • Batch GUI Tool for Windows
... like to know if people are interested. Maybe somebody will help me with beta-testing. It generates modified FilterForge filters, a batch.xml and a batch.bat. You can run the bat fr om within the program, but it is also possible to execute the batch.bat from commandline if you like. The program can create Animation images between two presets. It will generate images with SliderControls values in between those presets. You can render all maps, or specific maps. You can render one, a few or all presets. You can sel ect more filters, filter stacking will be possible in the near future. (That's wh ere I need this tool for). Maybe I'll adapt it to Filter Forge 3 also, but that ...

  • Lock Handle Removed from CMDRenderer
... handle (\BaseNamedObjects\FilterForgeCMDRendererProgramMutex) removed from the FFXCmdRenderer-x64.exe file. My understanding is that it was simply carried over from the main GUI and isn't really needed for proper functioning anyway. I have done many batch rendering operations over the years now that involved me closing this handle each time to launch more rendering instances so I am fairly confident that it isn't needed and it would be most helpful to have it removed. I can make windows batch files that ...
