Author: pixel8ted. Here's an image I submitted last week for an image challenge using "Image Illusions" for both the foreground and background creatures. Author: Northernshadow. 8) :D The first and second look like they were painted on silk, those are lovely! really would make a nice filter and it just might be possible... the 3rd and 4th are such different styles VERY inspiring! wow, would be a challenge ;) Okay, how about Airbrush or Graffiti spray paint?

  • Follow an edge
... just had a look in side the filter and tried to see whether it could be adapted, it uses a method great for gradient shapes, unfortunatly not suitable for edge detected following .......... again I think scripting is the only answer ........ it's a challenge for a scripter and could be used in many other ways in filter ;)

  • Suggest a new filter.
Author: Crapadilla. Another challenge has been issued to the terraformers among us. Check out the SpiralGraphics website (http://www.spiralgraphics.biz/packs/index.htm): It's Planets, Civilization Terrain, Desert & Barren Terrain, Lush Terrain, Rocky Terrain, Volcanic & Gaseous ...

  • Hole in wall
Author: Carl. Looking good Rawn the shadow and brick texture work well the real challenge would be to give the bricks around the hole depth [ faces ], the shadow works for giving that illusion :) as a substitute so to speak. "CFandM wrote: Thats quite alright Carl" Cool Mr CFandM 8) :)

  • Not Glass....Interested??? :)
... Yeah, been trying to figure that out.....it's bugging me too :) I have to find a way to do it with a simple filter.....that clear edge is a product of lighting height and blurring for the smooth surface with a surface result. Going to be quite a challenge to get it with a simple filter.....

  • Off the Deep End with ThreeDee
Author: ThreeDee. "Indigo Ray wrote: But what about a different image for each face? Or shading that varies with rotation? Or depth perspective? Or... " Everything but depth perspective is easy enough, that will be the challenge for the next eight years. Of course it could be done with a script, but that's cheating.

  • Water Caustics Texture Challenge

  • 3D Reflective Modern Art Photo Effect v2.1 by DJI
Author: Ramlyn. Very nice. I may take your challenge and do some filter with this style too. ;) Since you started this style of filters, I got an idea that I still had no time to develop ( rather busy with my job these last two-three months. Ha! Ha! )

  • Creating a simple texture pattern (worm like)
... doesn't need to be that specific shape, as you can see it's only a random worm shape pattern. it's amazing how a simple organic shape be so complex to reproduce on the filter forge I'm curious to see your results again thanks for accepting this challenge ;)

  • Circular Tiling with 5 images instead of having only one as source
Author: ThreeDee. The distortion of the image may be a good thing in some cases -- think Euro cobble challenge (http://www.filterforge.com/forum/read.php?FID=10&TID=10355) -- for it makes the input images conform to the shape of the tile. Which also makes it "circularly seamless" and doesn't leave any gaps.

  • burn rubber by selmo
... "FF is really cool, appealing to both the programmer and the artist in me. There's a certain kind of nerd-fun in thinking how one could assemble a filter to get the results you want. It doesn't always work exactly how I want it to, but it's still challenging and fun to tinker with." indeed!

  • Liquorice Snail by Crapadilla
Author: Crapadilla. "Bella wrote: And I also thought it would make a nice vinyl disk with a little editing... Another challenge? Wink" This might easily be the filter with the most frame components to date. It'd be killing if I had to build a larger spiral with the technique I used here... *Whispers* Dedicated spiral component! */Whispers*

... lot of improvement; it's too slow for example. I'm looking forward to seeing how you did your trees in particular... they look quite nice.) Zoomed out / Costal city would be cool. Could put directional shading on mountains. The thing I found most challenging for my landscape was the roads, actually. Very hard to get them to look like a proper road system, and have the surrounding areas look right. " The trees are really frickin simple. You'll see. I had the same thought -- making the ...
