Hello,

Before I have made this LIST of threads requesting the naming, numbering and re-order presets

And now as the threads about the problem of render speed are scattered through the forum and is not easy find them I have decided to make a list of them too, so it would be easy find them and also would help the FF developers team to see them all in one place.

Also I find surprising that FF INC support have said the following

I wrote FF's tech support prior to upgrading to 3, asking if they fixed the "slowness" problem and the response was they didn't know anyone thought it was slow.

SO with this list they will KNOW about it better

The above quote comes from this thread below
FF Inc. did not know that FF was slow ? Let´s see what others think.

Also I wanted to add to the list threads about building and optimizing filters for a better speed and make them more efficient if possible, so there are some tips and advice for this.

I want also to put this text that I have in some of the below threads

I want to let KNOW that Filter Forge is NOT ALWAYS SLOW, is not a bad software at all, is just that the rendering engine and core parts that process the FF filters could be optimized and updated to the new technologies and be able to get benefit from the 2012 computer power.

Independently of the computer power, the render and preview speed depends and is tied to WHAT FILTER you are going to use and WHAT RESOLUTION you want to have the result of the filter, on small ones will be faster than on higher resolutions that would be slower.

There are MANY FILTERS that are very usable and FAST to use even on high resolutions, and also there are MANY FILTERS that are slow or very slow, and also many in between of both.

For FF 4.0 --> Top 2 Features

FF3: Slow

Is FF Inc. making something for FF 4.0 to have a FASTER render engine?

The more power your GPU has, the faster a final image can be rendered

What would be good way to test the FF render speed between computers?

Please, if any of you know of any other interesting and useful thread about this topic that you have seen in the forum you are welcome to put it here as this is OPEN to everyone, and is NOT ONLY a list of mine.

Feel free to put any other thread that is related to this and could used and added

I have more threads about this render speed optimization BUT this time not directly related to CPU render as above, and for a possible GPU acceleration inside FF

Here are two threads I have made

Please, Could FF Inc confirm if there is any plan for CUDA/OpenGL/GPU?

What problems could have Filter Forge trying to use GPU acceleration?

now that in FF 6.0 it has been converted to 6.0 wich is a very good news and welcome, it would be the greatest and most welcome news that it could also be made faster and that it could be like others software that is able to work faster showing the result or at least the preview
