i saw posts with wishes about integration with "put my 3d app here" and it will be alot of work to integrate FF with most 3d apps like 3dsmax, maya, softimage, lightwave, cinema 4d, blender ect.

from my point of view integration is only needed to fight with seams on uvmap

all this apps can export to .obj format wich support uvmap coords.

my idea is to make new filter type caled "uvmap" or "3d model" or something
it will work same as "height" type but use will need to load .obj model and filter forge will make seamless texture that "jump" for seam to seam on uvmaps

in my opinion it will make FF much more usefull

here is example of 3d model with 100% filter forge texture, it use 3 diferent filters on 3 "areas" on uvmap, it looks ok only becouse seams are well hidden
