Is it possible to get a plug-in for Photoimpact 10.. I do have version 12 as it happens but dont use it as its a little too ''clunky'' for me.
Or does anyone know if, for instance i can creat a false folder structure something like /program files/ photoshop/plugin by putting the folders there, will that fool FF into thinking i have Photoshop installed ? and then using photoimpact's ''add filters'' facility ?? Many thanks ![]() |

Heres one way to install manually....Download the demo for Photoshop..Unless you have it installed already..
http://www.download.com/Adobe-Photosh...11172.html Once Photoshop is installed re-install Filter Forge to install the Photoshop plug-in...Then when that is complete you can find the plug-in in this folder.. C:\Program Files\Adobe\THIS WILL BE THE VERSION YOU JUST INSTALLED\Plug-Ins\Filters Now copy the Filter Forge folder found there into the Photoimpact directory.. C:\Program Files\Corel\Ulead PhotoImpact X3\plugin Now start Photoimpact and it should be under the Effects menu..... Hope this helped..d ![]() Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

Even better way is copying the "\Program Files\Filter Forge\Plugin" folder (copying the one from Photoshop works also, but it's not a recommended way since a future update might, for example, introduce host-specific plugins).
P.S. "host-specific plugins" are noted here for example purposes only -- you should not interpret this as a possible indication of the course of FF development |

HIya there OnyX
Yes I had already experimented with that at the time of coming back to the Forum, that appears to work fine also, indeed a prefered way as i dont have to install PS to get the filters working.. Really this should be documented, as in effect thats all the installer program does anyway i guess. Some programs simply ask you where you would like the filters installed (via path rather than pre-defined program routes, which i assume will only work anyway if you have program installed at default locations) Many thanks for all your help ![]() |
