It would be a huge advantage if when the program insist upon "updating" that it did so without deleting all the custom filter folders I had created. I currently have version 8 and when I tried opening a filter this morning, it insisted upon updating. As far as I can tell, the only thing updated was the program's ability to push a nag screen to upgrade to version 9. It also completely deleted all my custom filter folders and previously downloaded filters. The only ones remaining are the generic ones that are defaulted with the program when you first rent it. So not only is one not able to purchase this program instead of just renting it, but now one is also not allowed to maintain a folder structure that makes more sense to the end user or even the filters they already had downloaded??

Did you install the new version into another location? In any case, this looks like a bug. Please restore your filters from a backup file and try installing FF 8.006 again - will the filters disappear again?

I clicked YES, and the above is the final result. I never change directory locations and instead go with the default locations with downloaded softs simply because updates and upgrades need to go to the same locations and I just am too lazy to keep track of the locations when one starts changing directories. Are we suppose to back up everything such as custom folders every time we are forced into an update/upgrade? Pretty buggy software if that is the case. It should not be overwriting anything except what was needed for the update. And previous filters seem like a no-brainer as far as things to not alter with updates.
