I was playing with one of my filters and thought it would be useful if it would be possible to have a helper control that allowed you to save some lighting presets and expose them to the user. For example in the image if I placed a light in the center and some shadow settings, and maybe others that used two or three point lighting which enhances the detail on all the rendered tiles it would be cool to allow the user to use the control to use one of my preset lighting arangements or pass through and use the default lighting as it works now.
Hope that is clear. ![]() |

Do you mean to have different lighting presets in the presets tab for the user to choose? This is already possible now, even on FF 3.0, I have already done it and it works. You can create any kind of "complex" setting in the lighting tab and you can save this as a preset using "add preset" and then go back and change the lightings settings in a different way and again save it as a preset and so on. What settings and configurations are stored inside the Filter Presets? |

Not in front of my laptop now and only fave FF2 on my desktop so can't verify now but the lighting presets are saved with the factory presets correct (1:1)- so if you save lighting information for one factory preset the other factory presets in that same filter have individual lighting settings? I was talking about having one lighting custom lighting settings that the user can apply to each factory setting in the filter - or is the possible and I missed it (it's happened so maybe). Will have to check this out today when I get in front of my laptop but I must be pretty dense if I missed that.

Yes, you can save on the preset one lighting information and then on each other preset a totally different lighting preset, then when submitted these become factor y presets. You could save the same filter settings with different lighting settings. I
Ah! You mean then having especific presets inside the lighting tab independently from the presets and that they could be applied to any factory preset? I mean that you are suggesting to have some factory lighting presets that you can apply one lighting preset over an already available factory preset This is different and not possible now Happy new year 2014. Best wishes |
