"Copy" the Preview Screen

If I'm working on a project in photoshop I like to have filterforge open to generate little bits and pieces to use. One thing that I find frustrating is having to save the file, locate it where I saved and go through the last few steps in photoshop just to get the rendered image where I want it. I realize there's a "filter" feature that's integrated with photoshop but it's clunky. What I would like to see is a simple right click dialog that lets you "copy" the current image displayed. It just needs to take a snapshot even if it's not finished rendering and put it in the clipboard. Thanks for your consideration, this would be a much welcome addition to future versions.
