It is very helpful to have the last preset recalled when switching back and forth between filters, but the blue highlighting (denoting the selected preset) around the preset goes back to the default preset even though that preset is not the one being rendered. Some filters have vague presets, so to know which one is being rendered via the blue highlighting is helpful sometimes.

Filter Forge saves the current state of a filter, whether is was saved as a preset or not. You can tweak the filter settings (without saving them as a preset), switch to another filter and back -- and you will see the same settings that you had last time.

except the blue highlighting will go back to the default preset instead of remaining on the second preset: (my request) ![]() _____________________________________________________

No: if you tweak the settings it's not the second preset any more. It's just a saved state which doesn't correspond to any particular preset. Why should FF should highlight the second preset if the settings have been changed?

If there is tweaking, I agree, there is no obvious reason it should. However if I double click on preset 2 in filter A and then go to filter B, when I come back to filter A, the blue highlighting should remain on preset 2 in filter A. A minor aesthetic issue, but sometimes it is helpful.

I have notices that Filter Forge remembers my last settings when I switch to another filter and I go back, and indeed is IS useful. Highlighting the last filter used would be the icing on the cake though

Because there is 'Upd ate Preset'. There is a great danger here because 'the current state' recall easily leads one to believe that 'Upd ate Preset' will NOT overwrite preset #1 (if some other preset was being worked on) after switching back and forth from another filter! ![]() A request here for "Undo Upd ate Preset' _____________________________________________________
