Filter stopping or way too slow

I have been having trouble with this filter either rendering very slow or not rendering at all. I spoke to the author and he said his filter take a short time to render on his machine. Our conversation is on the above link.

I deleted his filter, shut down FF and then re-loaded it from the library. I thought my file had become corrupt. I let it render his first preset and this time it took 21 and a half minutes to render. I didn't touch any of the setting, I just let it set there and render. AA is set at 5 samples (I think that is default)so that shouldn't be the problem.

I am on Windows XP home edition. 4 gigs of ram. All other programs are shut down when I try this filter in the stand alone FF program. I use the default lifesaver images. I am using Filter Forge 3. Several of the presets after the first two, won't load at all. Nothing comes up after 15 minutes and the green progress bar just sets there. Very frustrating to me and bad for the creator. Please if you have any answer I would be very happy.

Also need to add this is the only filter I am having this issue with. All other filters, even the so called slow filter, are rendering in great time on my machine.

I can deny that it's FF3's dault, as I have tested the lifesaver picture o the first 3 presets and it takes 3 minutes or less to render.
I'm on windows7 64bit.
