The same filter in FF2 the lighting is just fine, but when I open any filters in FF3 that use lighting the lighting is either way too dark or way too bright.
I sent 2 emails to support in the last week, and haven't had a reply yet - maybe emails not coming through but usually get replies fine - so I am hoping someone here can help because its driving me crazy. ![]() I did try uninstalling FF3 and reinstalling, as a last ditch effort I guess I could delete all filters and start over but I really really really dont want to have to do that, or maybe even just try deleting anything new Ive added in the last couple of months... But this issue is happening with filters I have had installed a long time and that do still work fine in FF2. Attached a screenshot of just one example filter -- snake scales filter / default settings and lighting all weird. Should look like the main default - http://www.filterforge.com/filters/7693.html Thanks for any help / ideas. ![]() ![]() |

Shoot sorry I was reading around before posting and hit new thread in the wrong forum, not sure if it possible to delete and repost (not seeing it or blind)... but I am on Windows 7 64, as that may matter...

Thanks for moving to correct forum... No reply yet though? Does that mean no one has ever had an issue like this?

On my computer the filter looks exactly the same in FF2 and FF3.

Thank you, but that doesnt really help me figure out why its happening to me and only on FF3 and not FF2 for the same filters... I still can't get it to work right. And still have not had a reply form support on the two emails I sent last week. I feel pretty stuck since it makes any filters with the lighting useless for me in FF3...

Have you tried backing up all your filters and reinstalling FF3?
Another thing you can try is removing one filter that uses lighting and redownload it, see if that helps, but I doubt it, since it seems like a program error, not a filter error. |

It's so odd, I did try uninstalling FF3 and reinstalling. Same problem with anything that has the lighting option even after that...
I'm thinking it must be a FF3 only filter that's causing the bug, since FF2 filters with lighting seem fine, maybe something I downloaded to use in the last couple of months. But sometimes I download some I like and don't use them for quite a while down the road when I finally think of use. So trying to narrow down which one seems unlikely. I may try to look and sort by date modified (if its kept that info reliably - and delete anything from the last 2-3 months)... but I hate to do that if there might be some other way or something I am overlooking. |

Oh I could just hug you... I thought reinstalling it would reset all those settings or defaults I had changed at some point on it, but it must not have. I reset all from the options menu, and it is totally looking correct now.
