I'd be surprised if this hasn't been reported before, but on my machine at least, the program locks up when trying to change the built-in preview image.
Repro steps: 1. Launch stand-alone version and load any filter. 2. Sel ect File>Built-In Preview Images> [any image other than the default] This causes the program to lock up and become unresponsive, forcing the user to have to manually terminate. Notes: Filter Forge 3.004 Windows 7 When launched fr om within photoshop, does not happen because the Built-In Preview Image is grayed out and unavailable. |

I am having the same problem. When I try to change the preview picture from within the FF3 program, the program freezes. However, when I open up the FF3 program from within PhotoShop using the picture I want to work on, it will open in FF3.
EDIT TO UPDATE: I re-downloaded the Beta4 update and reinstalled the program. Everything is working fine now. - no freezing of the program when I change the preview picture. |

I have written something related here ---> http://filterforge.com/forum/read.php?FID=8&TID=8908 Please, DO NOT use Internet explorer to download the .ffxml filter file !! It will not work Using CHROME or OPERA browser is easy and error free !!!! You go to the post that contains the .ffxml link and JUST click ONCE over it, and will open a new window asking where do you want to save the "filter forge filter" Then after download, just click on the left bottom corner to the downloaded file and Chrome will open it and install directly in the "my filters" folders OR also you can go to the folder that you downloaded the filter, and double click over it and it will be installed directly in the "my filters" folders I think that this surely also works in Firefox, but have can´t try it in this moment. |

Thanks for the tip on internet explorer. I never would have figured that one out.
Okay, I downloaded the file in Chrome and installed it. I see the filter with the picture of the garlic and onions, but I still get the same problem if I try to change the preview image. |

gevarre, please open Help > About and check that your version is 3.004.22187.46050 built on October 05. If not, please reinstall the latest version from the beta page.

That fixed it.
I had checked for updates within the program and had assumed it was current, but I guess it only looked at the ".004" designation and not the date. The October version must have been posted just after I initially downloaded. |

Yes, there has been a new 3.004 version, known as "silent update" as was advised by GMM in this thread here
Beta 3.004 Silent Update — Please Redownload http://www.filterforge.com/forum/read...7&TID=8901 Very good that this new FF version have fixed your problem. |
