Updating Filters

ok, i wasnt even aware this worked this way till Ronviers mentioned it in a thread the other day. apparently, when an author submits an update and we, in turn, download it, it will NOT show up in FF unless we deleted the filter before we download the update. now, i dont know why i thought a downloaded update automatically replaced the original, but apparently it does not.

and that leads to this little bug: if download an update BEFORE you delete the original, you will NOT get the update showing in FF and, even if you then delete the original, you can no longer download the update. it will no longer show in the update list in the FF main library.

and that in turns leads to, how the heck do we get the update if do what we did in the second paragragh? there seems no way to get it now.

oh, and i'm using the 'obsolete' method of downloading filters, not the newer way.
