So i set some color to have alpha. In
the result component i somehow see this
image of a life-belt instead of alpha.
all previous component do not show the belt
and i want to take that noise comp. to
make dark parts translucent.

how does it work? smile:?:

I assume you are seeing something like this:



That's okay. The "life preserver" is a placeholder for the image on which you run the filter. As you can see, the dark parts of the noise make the color transparent, letting the original image show through. It doesn't mean you get a life preserver; you can load any other picture into FF and apply the filter to it.

----That's the (obviously) default image when you open FF, if you want it to go away simply choose *File* - *New Image* - and select the pixel size and in your case a transparent background. And abracamajickally, there ya go, no more life preserver and your see through is now allowing you to see right through. smile:D
