This is very ... interesting. Could you please post a screenshot of an "Open" dialog just before you click the "Open" button?

Here is a screen shot, which I used the same filter and after screen shot tryed to "open image" and got same error message as previous - as you can see I had previously opened an image and FF had been idle for about 10 to 15 minutes [ the program itself was only opened 5 minutes before first image was opened that you see ] at most before trying Open image - hopefully this was what you were after

It's happening when I click "File" then "Open Image" it never goes to a subject file, I get the error message as soon as I click "Open Image" hence the posting of the only thing I did before the error message, I've just done a test and it doesn't seem to matter which filter or that FF has just been opened [ Standalone ], if I change image straight away after the previous one has rendered [ or while it's rendering ] it works but if I wait for a minute or two [ as short as this ] the problem happens............ thank for your replies onyX

Aha, so you even do not get to the file selection dialog -- this is ... very strange at least. We'll look into it.

LOL..... It's a new feature that posts a warning during filter construction if the program determines that the filter has crossed the "suboptimal" threshold.....

WARNING!!! Don't bother wasting any more time trying to complete this filter because it sucks and will be rejected upon submission!!! |

Does the HDRI Import "Browse..." button exhibit the same problem (please ensure that you get the error consistently on basic "Open File..." dialog before testing)? If yes, try entering the following without quotes: "C:\" into the "HDRI File" textbox and then try clicking "Browse..." button again -- does it work?
