Hi FF team. When using a Tablet (Wacom Intuos 3) with a pen, the Right Mouse Button (RMB) on a pen gets a little delay or better doesn't work some times. I need to click more than once to get the contextual menu in the main interface or edit mode such as the preset tab, settings to get to copy color, the large preview to zoom in/out and so on. If I click RMB by using the mouse over the tablet instead, it works ok. It isn't a problem with the button on my pen once I alternate the software (ALT+TAB) I get to use the Pen RMB normally in other softwares. Doing some tests I've noticed that it seems FF requires that the mouse pointer needs to be very static for some while at some position to get to accept the RMB command and I can't move the pen while clicking on RMB, which is a little hard when holding a pen due the shaking hand. So, that's why with the mouse it works ok, because the mouse gets to be static/stopped over the tablet making no moves on the cursor when using RMB. It isn't happening only with 1.011. I had this issue a long time, but never remembered to report it.

And I thought I was mad.
![]() I'm getting the same strange behaviour with tablet+pen within FF (and only within FF), since ages. --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

Thanks it isn't only me. I thought I was starting to have Parkinson's disease and didn't get to make the pointer get stopped with the pen. :O)
Hey Crapa, is it a Wacom Intuos 3 too or is it another model/brand? Just a curiosity. |

Thanks Crapa.
Hey StevieJ, yup, I've tested the mouse too and I got the same issue too, but with mouse isn't so hard as using pen. I mean, you get to stop the mouse more easily than a pen over a tablet. Well, I hope FF programmers team get to fix that in the next update. A hug to all. |

Hi all!
This is my first post to the forum though I've been using FF for several months and just love it..... when it isn't crashing. I'm using an Intuos 3 tablet with the mouse in FF. FF has been extremely unstable. I'm sorry I don't have a list of the error messages. More often than not when FF crashes, it cannot generate an error report. It disables my ability to access Windows Task Manager and many times the program is still running in memory and I cannot access it. I cannot log off Windows. I cannot restart the PC using Windows. I'm am forced to do a hard reboot of the PC. OUCH! If I am using it as a plugin for PhotoShop CS3, Photoshop also crashes. In the last couple of days, I have noticed that the crashes occur when I use the scroll wheel of the mouse to scroll through the presets or filter lists. It seems to be OK to use it to zoom in the preview window. FF has not crashed since I stopped using the scroll wheel. This is EXTREMELY difficult for me, as I use the wheel extensively. LOL I hope there is some dialog going on between FF and Wacom to resolve this bug soon. Just sharing! Diane |

I don't get crashes at all using my Wacom Intuos 3 tablet+pen, but then I've never tried the wacom mouse with it (and I haven't touched a mouse since I switched to the tablet anyways).
What I do get is strange behaviour for the pen button, which is currently mapped to MMB-click (upper pen button click) and RMB-click (lower pen button click). RMB-click should launch a context menu, but within the main program UI and the filter editor this works VERY unreliably, with every 10th click or so bringing up a context menu, if at all. This seems to be somehow connected with how still you hold the pen tip while clicking, and it is very frustrating at times. Also, I wish there was a way to zoom with the MMB pen button without changing the current cursor mode manually (like it is possible using the mouse wheel). MMB-clicking and dragging left/right would be a workable solution, for example. --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

Hi Skaara, nice to meet you.
Well, this is an old thread. I'm not sure but I think this issue was fixed on the FF version 1.0.12 or it was the tablet driver I've update. I mean, now it doesn't happen all the time. It is much more easier now to get the contextual menu. Cheers, Lucato. |

Weird, it is better here. Of course it still happens. Maybe I've stopped shaking. :0) Are you using MAC with windows "Emulator"? How is setted your pen? Well, just to let you know, here my pen is setted this way: Pen button (top): Right Click Pen button (Bottom): Click Pen Tip: Click And I'm using the driver 6.05-7 A hug. |

I used to think I have a rather steady hand. ![]()
Nope, plain old windows PC.
Pen Tip Down: LMB-click Pen Button (Top): MMB-click Pen Button (Bottom): RMB-click Strangely enough, the context menu launches reliably in ANY other application and throughout windows, even when the tip is jittering strongly. --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

Yup, that's true Crapa. I agree that is a huge difference between the ANY other application/windows and FF when getting the context menu or using the RMB-Click with a pen. Even while using the browser and reading your post here if I start to make fast circles with my pen and LMB-click I get the context menu. In FF we really need to stop without shaking the pen in a point to get the same. Well, even I got it working better than before, FF developers need to check it out for the next upgrade.
