Case in point, "Strange Symbols" http://www.filterforge.com/filters/4678.html (just because I just downloaded it). Why is it filed under "texture", it has no lighting controls, it is not a "texture" filter by any stretch of the imagination. I have seen tons of mis-filed filters like this in the texture category. I would have to assume this is a problem with FF, since the last time I submitted a filter, I was just given sub-category choices, I was not asked if it was a texture or "simple" filter ("simple" being a filter with no lighting, as FF terms it in the editor area). So I guess I'm asking, is this a known problem that will be fixed soon, or what's up with it ?

A filter is considered an Effect filter if it uses at least one component that provides access to external data, such as Image, Selection, Average Color, Minimum Level or Maximum Level.
If a filter doesn't use any components that require external data, it is considered a Texture filter. http://www.filterforge.com/more/help/...asses.html |
