The default selection loaded into FF shouldn't be completely white, IMHO (at least not when in standalone mode). Since there are selection masks for the filter & preset thumbnails, why don't these show for the actual filter render?

Alright, after working a little with selection filters, I can see why there is no selection loaded into FF by default. Good choice...
![]() One idea, though: There is a 'default' selection that is used for Library Filters that contain 'selection' components. This should be accessible from within FF in some convenient way to preview what the filter will look like on the library. The default selection could be toggled on/off by some UI element, perhaps like this... ![]() --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

Now I'm wondering, is this the reason why sometimes when we submit a filter it seems to appear differently in the Library than when we submitted it from our FF? If this is so, I would greatly appreciate having this feature so I can better prepare my filter's default look before submission ![]() ~Foxxee~

If the filter was using a selection component, then this is a possibility. However, it could also be the following...

Ahhh, ok... I think I remember this was explained to me when I was having trouble with my 'Out My Window' filter. All this information is sometimes difficult to remember. Will be nice to have it all together somewhere. I had no idea about arranging my switches and slider controls till I saw you mention it to someone in another thread ![]() ~Foxxee~

Good idea. Could someone mention some (or a) selection filters in the library here -- I'd like to see how it looks in the preview images. |

Nevermind. I just did a search and found some selection filters (e.g. Wind Blur, Smoke Clouds, and Lightsaber) -- it seems the library's default selection is a donut-like shape around the lifesaver... |
