it seems the gray node of a 'color' component cannot plug into the 'elevation' node of an elevation component. nor can it plug into the 'gradient' node of the elevation component. i seem to recall reading somewhere that grays could plug into anything. ??

i can plug the gray 'color' component into other green input nodes, so why not the 'elevation' node of an elevation component?

i would think that 'color' has an elevation, at least from one way of looking at it, wavelengths and the color spectrum. shorter waves would have a shorter elevation and longer waves would have a deeper elevation.

edit: ok, just tried to input a 'color' component in the 'source' of a threshold too and it wont work. i know that normal elevation when dealing with color mapping and so on is commonly relying on blacks and whites and grays, but this seems a bit limited. i REALLY want to be able to map elevations by color.

ok, i can now color map on all three axes of the color picker, left and right on the color map, up and down on the color map, and the up and down slider through the hues. cool smile:D

Gray to Anything: control components can be connected to any input (except required inputs).
